Our Story
Funfetti Farms isn't just a name, it is a tribute to the horse who started it all.

Our story begins with Confetti, my very first horse and the heart of Funfetti Farms. Confetti came into my life through an equine training and rehabilitation class, associated with the Right Horse Initiative, at Colorado State University.

Confetti was one of the oldest horses in the group, on and off lame, and anxious, but stood out with her spotted coat and quirky personality. Gaining her trust took time and patience, but it was worth every moment. However, when Confetti finally started to blossom, the pandemic hit, and she was set to return to a local rescue. I made the last-minute decision to adopt her because I had always dreamed of owning a horse and could not give up on her training.

Once home, we started exploring trails and playing around with different disciplines. I discovered Confetti’s love for adventures and swimming at the local state parks. One day, some friends asked if their kiddo could ride, and Confetti fell in love with tiny humans. She blossomed into a wonderful lesson horse, loving all the attention from being groomed, braided, and decorated (especially when carrots were involved). Confetti kickstarted both my passions for training and instructing.

Over the last year, Confetti has touched many lives. Her name inspired the playful and joyful spirit of our farm, much like her vibrant personality. Now partially retired due to age and health issues, Confetti enjoys her days in a large pasture with friends, still participating in some lessons and serving as the beloved mascot of Funfetti Farms.
